*TAME and QUIET your MIND.  The design of this class incorporates meditation and provides the opportunity for you to practice it as a skill. Going everyday means more meditation and more opportunity to get in touch with yourself on deeper levels. You will start to tell the difference between the days you practice and when you don't in how you handle stressful situations.

*BUILD ENDURANCE: Going these 5 days without a break teaches you endurance of course. Putting your body through it can be easier than convincing the "unwilling conscious part of your mind" to attend. This is the point where you are learn how to explore your own limitless nature. How you can achieve, despite obstacles and negative thinking that can derail your goals and dreams. This is a corner you need to turn. Keep moving forward and remind yourself what you are made of.

DETOX: There’s a reason we crank the heat to 103 degrees: to sweat. "Sweating is one of the best ways to eliminate toxins from the body. The more water you drink, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the more you detoxify. It’s like taking a shower from the inside out—resulting in a body that is clean and pure after every practice. The skin is the largest organ of the body and therefore sweat is the fastest way to get the toxins out. That is why we embrace the heat. We love the heat because we love the sweat"(Darjuna Yoga).

As we grow older, gravity takes its' toll on our bodies. So many of our daily activities involve bending over, sitting or rounding over to do such activities as driving, using a computer, cooking, etc... The result of such repetitive behavior is a spine that has limited mobility and more compression. Movement of the spine and increased strength in the core are everyday cures to problem backs.  Hot yoga practice is centered around lengthening and strengthening the spine. "The goal is to create healthy circulation and blood flow to the discs as well as adequate space between them to maintain healthy posture even in old age. You may find that with a regular yoga practice, you might grow and inch or two! That is much better than shrinking, which is what happens to so many of us as we grow old"(Darjuna Yoga).
